We’re the CEOs and head bartenders here at Alla Vostra. We love partnering with our clients to create memorable experiences that celebrate life’s milestones. We’ve spent most of our careers in health care and IT, yet at the heart of it all was a passion for people. We now bring 30 years of customer service to Alla Vostra.

We launched Alla Vostra with the desire to bring excellence, elegance, and, honestly, a really good time to people’s events. Weddings, business events, charity fundraisers, and galas are all landmark events of joy, courage, fortitude, and love. It’s the good stuff that makes life so beautiful.

A Gin Sour made with @FranklinDistillery Southern Gin and Santa Cruz Organic Pure Lemon Juice. The foam is from making the classic version which includes egg whites and a hard long shake. The egg white makes this silky and decadent. Maybe you need Alla Vostra to shake it up at your next special event! Here's To You!

A refreshing Margarita to get the weekend started. Santa Cruz Organic Pure Lime Juice is a great alternative to fresh-squeezed. We had 160 guests at a corporate party who agree! You can see their feedback on our website. I also top mine off with a splash of Reposado Tequila to give it another layer of flavor. Alla Vostra!

In the 1850’s the largest soap and candle maker in St. Louis MO decided to take partial ownership in a local brewery called the Bavarian. By 1860 he had taken full ownership and changed the name to E. Anheuser & Co. But the real juggernaut didn’t start until Eberhard’s daughter Lilly married one of his suppliers, Adolphus Busch. Busch was a visionary who took over management of his Father-In-Law’s business shortly after serving in the Civil War and, of course, added his name to it. Adolphus expanded the business to include ancillary industries such as glass manufacturing, ice plants, railroads, and coal mines. In 1875 Anheuser-Busch produced 35,000 barrels of beer. Ever heard of Applejack? Not the sugary sweet cereal (which I am a big fan of FYI), but the apple brandy originating in northern New Jersey which pre-dates bourbon by almost 100 years. Commercially produced by the Laird family starting in 1780 the original process involved freezing fermented apple cider and removing the frozen water crystals which concentrated the flavor and increased the alcohol content. This process is known as "jacking", thus the name applejack. Laird & Co. is still distilling apple brandies today, making it America's oldest commercial distillery.

Tuesday Tidbit: Terroir is a term most often used in the wine industry. It refers to the specific local environmental effects on growing grapes. The theory - it can be an ambiguous and somewhat debatable topic – is that variations in soil content, rainfall, topology, wind conditions, etc. can affect grapevines differently from farm to farm within a small geographic area, or even grapes grown on different parts of the same farm. Over recent years, the brewing industry has spent significant resources studying the effects of terroir on hop farming.

Far from starting with a blank canvas, "Dolly" had been previously restored when we bought her on Labor Day 2021. We brought her from Georgia back to Tennessee where she was first registered over 50 years ago.
